TICKETS
Is there a show on tonight?
99% yes! We have shows every night of the week, and usually more than one!. Every weeknight we have a showcase at 19:30 - a perfect way to start an evening in Tokyo. On Saturdays it's at 19:00. We also have many other shows too so check the schedule to see what is on and what language it is in (we have shows in both English and Japanese). Note that unless otherwise clearly stated the show is in English!
Do I need a ticket to see a show?
Yes. All of our shows are ticketed, so to guarantee a seat please buy a ticket as early as possible. If you turn up without a ticket and there is space, we will do our best to seat you, but our priority is making sure everyone has a comfortable comedy experience so we do not squeeze people in and if the show says it is sold out, it is.
Do I need a ticket to have a drink?
No. We are one of the best-located craft beer bars in Tokyo and right by Shibuya station. If you fancy dropping in for a tasty beer, no ticket is needed!
Are your comedy shows open to all ages?
Our evening shows are not open to under-18s; and no alcohol will be served to under-20s and ID may be checked. Daytime and early evening shows on the weekend are more flexible with supervised high school children, but - unless specified - the show is not 'for kids' and is likely to involve adult themes and language.
How do I buy a ticket?
Through our website! Our tickets are powered by our ticketing partner Zaiko - and they offer a number of payment options.
Can I call the bar to cancel or change a ticket booking?
No. Our bar staff do not directly manage the shows; all ticket inquiries are managed by email, and we cannot guarantee a reply in 24 hrs
I made a group booking and my friends are arriving separately!
We can manage this. Just leave their names with the staff.
PERFORMING
How do I perform at Tokyo Comedy Bar?
Please check the DO COMEDY page on this website for full contact details. We book our shows, so please get in contact early so we can accommodate you.
If you are an experienced comedian from overseas visiting Japan, please get in touch about performing. We love having guests, but we are not really in the business of flying comedians over. So if you are in town and want to perform - great. But, if you are looking to book a tour with us, we may not be able to accommodate you (due to scheduled shows, visa issues, etc). Either way, please drop us a mail and we can discuss. In the email, please include a bio and a link to a performance video. Including this in the original email will save time.
I want to put on a show at Tokyo Comedy Bar!
Let's try and make it happen. We are a stand-up comedy club though and have a show schedule to keep, so daytimes are easier. We love live podcasts, so if you have a podcast and want to do a live record, get in touch.
